FAMILY SECRETS: THE SECRET OF SINGLENESS (ISA. 65:3-5; MATT. 19:11-12, 1 COR. 7:7)

This is a message the whole church needs to hear. Marriage has commonly been lauded as the goal of the Christian life, and singleness has been viewed as an inferior state of existence. However, in Isa. 56:3-5, God makes it clear that He does not view singleness as inferior. He states that singles are not second class citizens in His kingdom, and He actually promises them a greater blessing than that of marriage and children.

For this reason, it is important for us to let God's Word reshape our view of singleness, so that we do not unwittingly place pressure on singles to get married, that could cause them to become desperate and make a mistake. And if you are single, it is important so that you can embrace your singleness as a gift from God and live life to its fullest for His glory.

FAMILY SECRETS: SECRETS TEENS WISH THEIR PARENTS KNEW (Eph. 6:4, asst)

There is an old adage: "When kids are small, their problems are small. When kids get bigger, their problems are bigger." When they are babies, they are much easier to take care of. For that reason, this message endeavors to help parents understand their teens attitudes and behaviors better, and know how to respond.

It provides us with a wealth of understanding about the needs of children, lessons on how to be a better father, and a revelation of God that can bring healing to the wounds of our souls that may have been caused by an absent, emotionally disengaged or abusive father.

We need to understand the purpose and benefit that speaking in tongues has in our life, and why God wants each and everyone of us to pray in the Spirit regularly. God wouldn't give us a gift if we didn't need it. Let the Scriptures speak and let us receive with an open heart all that He desires for us in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, and in particular the blessing of speaking in tongues.
