LOVE UNRIVALED: UNPLEASANT LOVE (HEB. 12:5-11)

AMOR SIN RIVAL: AMOR DESAGRADABLE 

Discipline and correction is a difficult form of love for us, as children of God, to understand. It is difficult for us to understand why our loving Heavenly Father would allow us to endure something painful. But sometimes we have to suffer a little pain now, to keep us from suffering something far worse later on. We understand this as parents, but we need to understand it as children of God. This is an aspect of love that we often find unpleasant. In this wonderful passage of Scripture, there is an important message for us about how God deals with his children.

Hosea's marriage would be an object lesson to show Israel that no matter how unfaithful she had been He sill loved her! Hosea's love for his unfaithful wife, illustrates the kind of love that God has for His people.

LOVE UNRIVALED: INCREDIBLE LOVE (JOB 10:11-12)

If anyone ever had a reason to be discouraged, to doubt and question God, it was Job. But in the midst of all of his suffering and questions, we find a glimmer of hope, a remembrance of God's incredible love. Job's words reveal several traits of God's incredible love towards us, that can bring strength to our soul, and healing to our hearts, even the midst of life's suffering.

The focus is generally upon the younger son and how he dishonors his father, and ran away to a far country, but the truth is that the older son was far from his father's heart as well. This story has much to teach us about how our relationship with the Father, affects our career.
