We Need the Supernatural In Our Lives (John 6:16-21)
Tuesday Jul 23, 2019

Pastor Ana Lopez
Jesus didn't bring a nice, make me feel good religion to earth. He brought the reality of the supernatural Kingdom of God. In the Kingdom of God, miracles happen, sickness is overcome, and storms obey the voice of God. Most believers live in an earthly, natural, and intellectual Christianity, where all they have is nice words and promises of God. But God wants us to invite and rely on His life-changing power that heals and operates in the supernatural. Let's look at the reasons why we don't ask the Supernatural in our lives.

CONEXIÓN: ¿POR QUÉ ESTOY TAN SOLO?
Pastor Maria Khaleel
One of the most debilitating effects of the over use of technology is the social isolation that it produces, though it promises greater social connection. However, merely disconnecting or down-timing our technology usage does not automatically result in meaningful relationships. In truth, loneliness often precedes the overuse of technology, with the hopes that these virtual connections will fill the void, only to find that it exacerbates it.
So what are some of the reasons for our loneliness and how can we move beyond them to engage in and enjoy the meaningful relationships that we need and that are a part of God’s plan and design for us.

CONEXIÓN: CONOCIDO Y AMADO
Pastor Maria Khaleel
How many celebrities, who were “loved” by many,” with huge fan bases who adored them, died tragic and lonely deaths. The cost of their fame was celebrity with anonymity – always surrounded by crowds of people, but not truly known by any, often not even those closes to them knew what was going on in their lives.
David illustrates this well. His fame quickly grew after killing the giant Goliath, with crowds chanting praises for his, and the privilege of marrying the kings daughter, who didn’t know or understand David, a man with a heart after God, and later criticized him for his unashamed worship of God. However, there was one relationship in David’s life that stood out from all the rest, his friendship with Jonathon, a friendship in which David was known and loved, and found great comfort and strength.
This friendship provides an picture of genuine friendship, in which both parties are both known and loved, as an example of the friendships that God has designed us to share. We all need these types of friends in our lives.

VIVIENDO TU DESTINO: PRESIONANDO HACIA TU DESTINO (FILIPENSES 3:13-14)
Pastor Maria Khaleel
Paul was not living life haphazardly. He was living out his destiny with intentionality. He uses the imagery of an Olympic runner competing for the prize to illustrate the concept of destiny. The goal of our life ultimately, as Paul describes it, is to know Christ – it is all about our relationship with Christ. It is becoming like Christ, serving Christ, leading others to Christ, fulling Christ’s purpose for our lives and bringing glory to Christ. That will find a different expression in each of our lives, as God has a specific calling and course or destiny for each of us. However, in this passage Paul identifies several principles that will enable us to live out our destiny fully.

CONEXIÓN: VIVA SU AMOR
Pastor Maria Khaleel
Jesus said, the first, and greatest command is to “love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” Jesus words immediately strike us with the repetition of the word ALL four times. God is calling for a response of complete devotion to Him with all of our being – to love Him with our everything. When we hear this, it is powerful, and it moves us, and we want to love God that way, but we wonder how could we ever integrate that kind of utter devotion in our daily lives. It doesn’t seem practical, realistic or achievable. So today, we want to look at practically living out our love for God, with all of our heart, with all of our soul, with all of our mind, and with all of our strength.
