CAMBIADORES DE TU CIUDAD: PUEDES MARCAR LA DIFERENCIA
Pastor Maria Khaleel
It is striking that Solomon somehow found the life story of an individual whose name we don’t even know, yet this one poor man is credited with saving his city from the invasion of the enemy, though no one remembered him or what he did. Yet, God took note, and by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, He made sure that it was recorded in the pages of Scripture, so that it would be known what this one unnamed man did. He made a difference. He saved the lives of everyone in that city and God took note, and recorded his story for us to let us know that one person can make a difference. You can make a difference. Through you God can save your city.

CAMBIADORES DE TU CIUDAD: UN CUENTO DE DOS CIUDADES
Pastor Maria Khaleel
The tale of these two cities is a tragic one, because we read in that fire rained down from heaven destroying Sodom and Gomorrah. When we read, hear or preach from this story, we often emphasize God’s judgement on sin, or particularly the sexually perverted type of sin mentioned in this passage, but more than a story of judgement, this is a story of grace that reveals a call for each of us for our city.

CAMBIADORES DE TU CIUDAD 2: DIOS TE QUIERE EN NÍNEVE
Pastor Maria Khaleel
Jonah has often been called the “wrong-way prophet,” because God called him to go to Nineveh, and he headed in the opposite direction to Tarshish. We need to see is that the story of Jonah is a message to us today. Jonah, the prophet, represents the church, because we are called and empowered by the Holy Spirit to be a prophetic people in our generation (Acts 2:17-18). Ninevah represents a desperately wicked and idolatrous city in need of God. It represents our community. God reveals His incredible mercy and patience by sending us in the midst of the wickedness, so the ungodly will have an opportunity to be saved.

No other passage of Scripture so clearly explains the gospel and its missional implications: all of humanity is lost, eternity is real, and salvation is only through Christ, and we must take the message of the gospel to the world.

CAMBIADORES DE TU CIUDAD: VIVIR MISIONAL (LC 19:41-44)
Pastor Maria Khaleel
Jesus didn’t only come to take our place, and pay the price for our sin, but to set a pattern for us to follow, that we too would deny ourselves, and lay ourselves down for the sake of redeeming the world from sin and reconciling lost mankind to God.
Denying ourselves means that His mission comes before our ambition. To take up our cross, means that we must lay our lives down in devotion to Him and His saving purpose. His mission must be central to our life, to the way we live and all that we do. Are we living missionally?
Looking to Jesus as our pattern demonstrates several principles of what it means to live missionally.

CAMBIADORES DE TU VIDA: UN AGENTE DEL REINO (JUAN 17:15-18)
Pastor Maria Khaleel
We need to understand that salvation is not just about making it heaven and spending eternity with God. If that were the goal of salvation, God would take us out of the world the moment we got saved. Yes, salvation encompasses the glorious promises of heaven but salvation is also for life in this world. Salvation is not about us going to be with God at some time in the future, it is about God coming to live in us now, to make us agents of His kingdom in this world. Salvation involves intimacy with God in this present life, which empowers us to be agents of God’s kingdom in this present world. We need to move from a salvation mindset to a kingdom mindset.
